The PAL will be hosting two softball tournaments this fall:

Columbus Day Clash (10/9 & 10/10)

Halloween Bash (10/30 & 10/31)
We are planning on 14u & 16u for both weekends with a maximum of 8 teams in each division. The cost is $400 for one tournament and $750 (a $50 discount) for both. It's a great opportunity to get an early look at your 2011 team, to use as a tryout, or to give your team some Fall softball before the the end of the year.

Weed Whacking Wednesdays are back in full swing at the PAL! Either bring your weed whacker from home or use one of ours. The plan: just weed whack anything that looks like it needs it. Suffice to say, we have alot of edging that needs to be done.
Thanks!

Uniform Pick-up and Plainridge Raffle
Friday 4/16 and Saturday 4/17
Coaches,
The link to the schedule for uniform day is below. I will be sending out a blast e-mail with this information but would also like you to follow-up with your parents regarding the schedule. Everyone on your teams needs to attend at their team's assigned time. Please let everyone know that they need $10 for Plainridge raffle tickets!! The only teams that need to pay uniform deposits are the Babe Ruth boys teams. The uniform deposit is $20 which they will get back when turning the shirt in at the end of the season. Some team names have changed so don't be alarmed if the team listed next to your name is different. Hat availability led to some of the changes.
Any questions, please let me know. Schedules are being finalized today so you will receive those by tomorrow. I will also have copies on Saturday to distribute to parents. Dan Robillard will be distributing shirts and collecting Plainridge money Friday evening. I will be doing so for the teams on Saturday. See you then!
Regards,
Darrin

Thanks to all who braved the 72 degree weather last weekend to continue the cleanup of the PAL fields! Your determination and efforts are quite commendable as evidenced by the number of projects 'done' below.
We still have at least one more remaining PAL Field Clean-Up day:
- Saturday, April 3, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Rain or Shine....
For a list of projects, please check the Field Maintenance page (from the left margin menu)
Bring a friend, teammate, spouse, or even a complete stranger if they are willing to pitch in. Work gloves are suggested. If you can bring along a wheelbarrow, even better. Thank you!

The King Philip Softball team has been selected for the High School Friday segment of the Fox25 Sports Department. Fox25 chooses one high school game each week to highlight and KP has been picked for the May 22 segment highlighting the final regular season game against Coyle Cassidy at the PAL on Watters Field. Fox25 will cover the game on both the 6:00 and 11:00 news. It's a great opportunity to showcase the team and our facility.
Coaches- Encourage your teams to watch the game (uniform shirts and hats always a nice added touch!)
Thanks for voting. Last check the tally was KP-Coyle Cassidy at 79%
Check out the game preview on FOX25!
