Welcome to the
Plainville Athletic League

What is the PAL?

The Plainville Athletic League is a non-profit youth sports organization that offers baseball for boys age 5 to 15 and fast pitch softball for girls age 5 to 16. The league is proud of its policy to never turn a child away due to a family's inability to pay. Since 1955, the PAL has been run by parents and volunteers. The league is not funded by the town and therefore relies upon the generosity and support of its member families and local businesses in the community.

Today, the PAL membership has grown to over 400 kids participating in our program. The PAL is affiliated with Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball as well as ASA, NSA, and PONY Softball. The league is the home of The King Philip Cup, a baseball tournament with major league teams from Plainville, Wrentham, and Norfolk. We also host several regional ASA sanctioned softball
tournaments each year, including the 2006 12B State Championship Tournament this past season. We started the 2007 season with the 2nd Annual PAL April Fool's Fest,
our first PONY sanctioned National Qualifier for 14U fast pitch softball. It was the earliest softball tournament played in the Northeast this past year.

Our main facility features a clubhouse/snack bar, four irrigated and lighted playing fields with enclosed dugouts, electronic scoreboards and scorers boxes, and three batting cages. It is also the home field for the King Philip Regional High School softball program.

We are located on George Street/Everett Skinner Road in Plainville. We encourage any interested party to stop by during the season to catch a game, lend a hand, or both!
